For the Sliders:

  • 12 Hawaiian-style slider buns
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 6 beef sausage patties (halal-certified)
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese (cut in half)

For the Glaze:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

Step 1 — Preheat the Oven Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray and set aside.

Step 2 — Cook the Sausage Patties Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the halal beef sausage patties for 3–4 minutes per side until fully cooked through and golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.

Step 3 — Scramble the Eggs In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in the same skillet over medium-low heat. Pour in the egg mixture and gently stir until just set — keep them soft and slightly underdone as they will finish cooking in the oven.

Step 4 — Assemble the Sliders Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping them connected as one sheet. Place the bottom halves into the prepared baking dish. Layer the scrambled eggs evenly, followed by the sausage patties, then the cheddar cheese slices. Place the top buns over everything.

Step 5 — Make the Glaze In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, and dried parsley until fully combined. Brush the glaze generously over the tops of the buns, covering every inch.

Step 6 — Bake Covered Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 12 minutes.

Step 7 — Bake Uncovered Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5–6 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.

Step 8 — Rest, Slice & Serve Remove from the oven and let the sliders rest for 2 minutes. Slice into 12 individual sliders and serve warm immediately.

Notes

Make-Ahead Tip: Assemble the sliders completely the night before without the glaze, cover tightly with foil, and refrigerate. In the morning, brush on the glaze and bake as directed — no extra prep time needed.

Egg Tip: Always pull the scrambled eggs off the heat while they still look slightly underdone. They will continue cooking during the baking step and come out perfectly soft — never rubbery.

Bun Tip: Hawaiian sweet rolls are strongly recommended for their soft texture and mild sweetness. If unavailable, any soft dinner roll or brioche slider bun is a great substitute.

Cheese Swaps: Cheddar is classic, but mozzarella, pepper jack, provolone, or Swiss all melt beautifully and work great here.

Vegetarian Option: Replace the beef sausage patties with plant-based sausage patties or a layer of sautéed mushrooms and spinach.

Gluten-Free Option: Use certified gluten-free slider buns. All other ingredients in this recipe are naturally gluten-free.

Storage — Fridge: Place leftover sliders in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 325°F (165°C) for 8–10 minutes, or in the air fryer at 350°F for 4–5 minutes.

Storage — Freezer: Wrap each slider individually in aluminum foil and place in a freezer-safe zip bag. Freeze for up to 1 month. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.

Serving Ideas: Serve alongside fresh fruit salad, hash browns, a simple green salad, or a glass of fresh orange juice for a complete brunch spread.
